Larivière et Massicotte, Pharmaciennes inc. pharmacy is proud to be part of the Pharmacie éco+responsable(TM) program in collaboration with Maillon Vert, an organization specializing in sustainable development. This program, the only one of its kind in North America, is designed to help pharmacies make a difference by adopting concrete ecological, social, and economic practices.
Being environmentally conscious is part of our identity as a pharmacy. We believe in taking care not only of our planet, but also of its inhabitants, through tangible actions such as:
- Promoting sustainable buying
- Reducing waste and plastic use
- Limiting our paper usage
- Improving our energy efficiency
- Promoting sustainable transportation
- Expanding our commitment to the community
Your certified carbon-neutral pharmacy
AIn line with our environmental commitments, we are proud to be certified as a Carbon Neutral Pharmacy. Each year, we commit to reducing, measuring and offsetting our greenhouse gas emissions through the purchase of carbon credits. These credits are invested in projects for the protection and restoration of sensitive natural habitats in Quebec, and in Gold Standard-certified projects in various sectors (renewable energies, energy efficiency, energy recovery, etc.).
Our initiatives, carried out in collaboration with Maillon Vert and Planetair, help us promote our profession and better meet the needs of our patients and partners, while caring for the health of our community and our planet.
Recipient of the Dr. Trang Hoang Award from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada
Our pharmacy is proud to have been awarded the Dr. Trang Hoang 2021 Professional of the Year Award by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada (LLSC).
The LLSC recognizes and honours the commitment of individuals and groups who advocate for the cause of blood cancers, and who display an outstanding involvement in blood cancer research and awareness. They play an essential role in the LLSC’s mission to inform and educate the public about blood cancers, and to support those affected by them.
This nomination reflects our unwavering support for blood cancer patients and our dedication to improving their quality of life. We are thrilled to be able to join this community in changing the face of these diseases.
Prix Profession Santé - Innovative practice category
Building on the concept of intradisciplinarity within the pharmacy, our approach helps hundreds of Quebecers suffering from cancer and other illnesses to receive pharmacotherapeutic care quickly, in conjunction with their local pharmacy. We’re proud to have our approach recognized by Profession Santé.
This prize is awarded to healthcare professionals who have developed an innovative and inspiring practice to improve the quality of patient care.
